The UNP trade union Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya (JSS) yesterday met in special session at Sirikotha and unanimously resolved to back the National Democratic Front’s (NDF) Presidential candidate Maithripala Sirisena.

Mr Asoka Hewapathirana, JSS Office Bearer of A.T. Cooray .Moratuwa participated at the KLF - ACTRAV/ITC - ILO workshop on 'Promoting Decent Work in MNEs and their Supply Chains' held in Seoul, South Korea from 18 - 21st November, 2014.

Mahaweli Authority employees yesterday held a protest march from their head office at Hyde Park Corner to the President’s House making a series of demands which included the rectification of salary anomalies and protection of their institution.
