තැපැල් සේවකයින් ආරම්භ කළ වෘත්තීය ක්‍රියාමාර්ගය අත්හිටුවීමටවත් රජයට මේ දක්වා නිසි වැඩපිළිවලක් නැති බවත් මෙයින් රටේ ආර්ථිකයට මෙන්ම පොදු ජනතාවත් දැඩි ලෙස අපහසුතාවයට පත්වන බවත් ජාතික සේවක සංගමයේ සභාපති දොස්තර ජයලත් ජයවර්ධන මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කර‍යි.
තැපැල් ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ හටගෙන ඇති අර්බුධය විසඳීම වෙනුවෙන් රජය කිසිඳු වගකීමකින් කටයුතු නොකරන බව පැහැදිලිව පෙනෙන්නට ඇති බවද ජයලත් ජයවර්ධන මහතා පවසයි.
ජාතික සේවක සංගමයේ සභාපති දොස්තර ජයලත් ජයවර්ධන මහතා විසින් නිකුත්කොට ඇති නිවේදනයක දක්වා ඇත්තේ අද වන විට පස්වන දිනයටත් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන මෙම තැපැල් වෘත්තීය ක්‍රියාමාර්ගය හේතුවෙන් මේ වන විට ලිපි හා පාර්සල් ලක්ෂ 23 ක් පමණ ගොඩගැසී ඇති බවයි.
එමෙන්ම මෙම අරගලය නිසා සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම පීඩාවට පත්වන්නේ සාමාන්‍ය ජනතාව බවත් ජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් ඇපකැපවූ පක්ෂයක් ලෙස එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂය ඉල්ලා සිටින්නේ ජනතාව දැඩි අපහසුතාවයට පත්කොට ඇති මෙම වෘත්තීය සමිති අරගලය විසඳන ලෙස යැයිද ජාතික සේවක සංගමයේ සභාපති දොස්තර ජයලත් ජයවර්ධන මහතා එම නිවේදනයේ දක්වා ඇත.
The government fails to settle Postal strike- JSS
The Postal Department is in a crisis due to the internal dispute and the government has not done anything so far to settle it, which prevailed for the fourth day. More than 2.3 million letters and other parcels have been accumulated at the Department due to this crisis, President of the Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya Dr.Jayalath Jayawardana stated.
JSS headquarters issuing a released further stated that the transportation of all letters and other documents from the General Post Office from outstations and vice- versa has come to the stand still.
Due to this trade union action it would affect the GCE O/L examination, which is scheduled for the next month. All prospective examination candidates have been upset over this matter because they are expecting postal identity cards and admission forms for the forthcoming examination through the post.
Air mail letters too being accumulated at the General Post Office. Due to this postal delay not only the general public but also private and public sector entities day to day activities have been affected. Therefore, JSS President request the government to settle trade union dispute to provide efficient service to the general public.
