UNP to safeguard employees on EPF rackets

parliament_and_court_simbolThe UNP has appointed a Parliamentary Committee to inquire into the widespread allegations against the Institutions falling foul of the rules and regulations of the EPF funds belonging to the employees.

It has been decided to take legal action against those loss incurring private enterprises that have dabbled with the EPF funds in millions against the Govt. regulations. Based on these charges they are to institute legal action and to lodge complaints with the Commission of Bribery and corruption for utilizing these monies improperly and illegally. The Committee appointed by the UNP and opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe to inquire into these irregularities and allegations comprises MPs, Joseph Michael Perera, Ravi Karunanayake,Eran Wickremeratne, Dr. Harsha de Silva and Dayasiri Jayasekera. A detailed report is to be forwarded to the UNP leader by next week based on the results reached following a focus from all angles on these untoward investments .
