In association with the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) the Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya, (JSS) organized a poster campaign at the JSS Headquarters recently , to mark the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence”,which is a global campaign to raise awareness about violence against women.
The ITF has long been associated with this day through their Women’s Committee, collectively campaigning for strong international standards on violence and harassment at work, and supporting the ITUC in campaigning for an ILO convention to stop gender based violence at work. This year the call was to help get the message:We say NO to violence against women! , out into the world.
